Upon application and approval, members and others in the community, may obtain emergency financial assistance with basic living needs. Requests for assistance can be made by contacting one of the members of the Benevolence Committee who will review the requests. Because financial support is limited, the group works with other churches and community organizations in many cases to handle such requests. Long-term financial support is not available.
Volunteers in this ministry spring into action to provide comfort and support to the family when there is a death of a member of Green Castle Baptist Church. This team helps ensure that all ministry arms of the church are in sync to support the family during their time of loss.
HOPE is a life-changing ministry where we have only positive expectations for those affected by cancer to live. HOPE understands that cancer often creates physical and spiritual burdens while shouldering everyday life responsibilities. HOPE empowers those with the knowledge of Christ and the understanding that the Lord is our peace and strength and no matter the circumstance or the blight of the situation there is hope with each day lived. HOPE meets every 1st Saturday of each month at 11:00 AM.View Ministry Page
This year round, church wide ministry gathers non-perishable goods and household items that are then distributed to needy families in our church and community. These goods are distributed directly to these needy families through direct requests or through local organizations Green Castle's partners with to address hunger in our community. Throughout the year, Green Castle members are encouraged to bring in canned goods and non-perishable household items to help keep our inventory at levels to provide for prompt, responsive service. Request for assistance can be made by contacting a member of the "High 5" Ministry Task Force or by calling the church office.
