What Must I Do To Be Saved?
"The Way, the Truth, the Life"
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me."
You may have heard others say "there are many paths to heaven," implying that there are many paths to eternal salvation; that we can choose the path that fits us the best. However, this approach totally contradicts the words of God's Son himself, Jesus Christ.
To obtain the gift of salvation we must first realize that we are sinners…or that we are “lost”. Being lost means you are totally separated from a perfect, sinless God by your own sinful nature until you accept the gift of salvation. The book of Romans clearly spells out in plain and simple terms what God requires of you to be saved. The beauty of it is salvation is as simple as A-B-C.
that you are a sinner and need God in your life.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
The Bible says we are all sinners. Does that include you? Absolutely. Not only does it include you, but it includes all your friends, relatives, and everyone else in the world that lived before and after you!
Without Jesus, what have you earned as a consequence for your sin?
DEATH…plain and simple.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Wages are what you earn as a result of your work. There are consequences to living a sinful life. Therefore, because we have all lived sinful lives, we have earned, and deserve, death. Without Jesus Christ, death in sin means eternal hell.
that Jesus Christ died for your sins, taking on himself the wages of sin, which YOU rightfully earned for yourself.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
The penalty for your sin is death. But God loves you so much, He provided a way for you to escape that penalty. Jesus can and will save anyone from an eternity without God. He died and rose again for your justification, to bring you into a perfect relationship with God.
All that God asks is that you repent of your sins, turn from them and accept the perfect sacrifice Christ made on the cross for your sins. Jesus demonstrated His love for you by dying on the cross.
Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.
For whoever will call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
God promises that anyone who accepts Christ as Savior and Lord shall be saved! It's a FREE gift from God. The gift is eternal life. If you want this gift, all you have to do is confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead.
This free gift of eternal life is given to you regardless of your past circumstances or deeds; you need only ask for it! Salvation is the perfect gift from Jesus Christ. It provides us with peace and joy in this earthly life, and guarantees our eternity in heaven with God.
If you want the gift of salvation, you need only ask for it. If you wish to accept it, you can pray this prayer, right now, in front of your computer:
"Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner, and I repent of those sins. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for me, and that He rose from the dead, in victory over the grave. I invite Him in my life right now, at this moment, to be my Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord for this perfect gift of salvation. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen."
We invite you to come to Green Castle Baptist Church to publicly acknowledge your salvation in Jesus Christ, and join our church family.
